Searchsearch III is a media installation based on Weibo, Chinese mainstream social media.The artist reappropriate the front page of the website and give the web a soul. The participate lies in the hammock and interact with the installation from a computer. The artist-written algorithm would change the participants’ inputs and insert its own intention. The modified search results would be presented in the real Weibo page, denying the human autonomy. The user experience of the network is unstable so is the participate’s bodily experience.

During 2022 Shanghai quarantine, a funny meme redefines the veggie as the luxury brand, so does Searchsearch III. Searchsearch III hopes to capture that specific moment and online emotions during the entire lifecycle of Weibo network.
